In the past 50 years air conditioning has become absolutely essential in all new building offices and homes within warmer climates. Recently though, luxury homes in less hot climates are also having air conditioning installed. Why would this be?
As well as the obvious function of being able to keep cool during the warm, clammy summer months, air conditioning has now progressed to be one of the most efficient and effective forms of heating too.
Conditioning the Air with Heating and Cooling
If you think about it, the term ?air conditioning,? simply means to ?condition the air,? and thankfully the air conditioning manufacturers have now developed the technology required to allow users to have conditioned air to their satisfaction.
Now that air conditioning is an effective and efficient form of heating, having air conditioning installed now means that you can keep the inside at the exact temperature that keeps you the most comfortable, regardless of the weather outside. The air conditioning system will simply heat or cool as required to keep your home or office at the perfect temperature.
Air Filtration
Being at the right temperature now needn?t be a problem. Air conditioning has simply covered all of the possibilities to eliminate temperature issues within your life. Another benefit air conditioning systems have, is the fact that all of the air within the room passes through a very fine ?microfilter? which purifies and removes lots of airborne particles. Particles such as dust mites, pollen, and even small level bacteria are filtered out, thus providing you a fresher cleaner environment to live in.
Only Heat or Cool the Rooms that You are Using
Typically, most rooms within buildings remain unoccupied, and with standard heating and central cooling systems the entire building gets heated or cooled when it is switched on. This is one of the equations that fall within the 80/20 rules. It simply says ?80% of the rooms are unoccupied within a building while 20% are occupied.? This means that 80% of the energy required to heat or cool those rooms is also an absolute waste. Thankfully with individual room air conditioning installed, the users have complete control on a room-by-room basis of whether they need heating, cooling or not. Nothing here goes to waste.
Expensive or Efficient?
Air conditioning was once thought to be an expensive waste of time. Especially in the UK where temperatures in the summer barely reach 22? C and in the winter we spend most of our time shivering with a jacket on. With the recent developments in air conditioning technology though, air conditioning is now one of the most efficient and effective ways to heat making the vastly improved technology not only accessible for everyone, but essential too.
